Shah Sevan of Varamin

A rare and beautiful bag made by Shah Sevan people in the Varamin plains. Fantastic wool and rich color. The main border and the outside guard are often seen in the Shah Sevan pile and sumac bags of the Caucasus border areas. However, the color palette, as well as the weaving style are distinctly Varamin. c1880s
